California Supply Chain Transparency Act

At TekChoice Electronics, we hold all Suppliers to a high standard when it comes to labor and human rights practices. We expect manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers of new products to adhere to basic labor and human rights standards. Our Supplier Code of Conduct and contracts prohibit the use of any form of forced labor, including prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, or similar practices. Failure to meet these standards may result in actions taken by TekChoice Electronics, potentially leading to the termination of our business relationship with the Supplier.

Here are more specifics on how we are working towards a sustainable supply chain:

TekChoice Electronics is actively engaged in addressing social and environmental issues in the consumer electronics and retail sectors at industry levels.

We are proud members of the Responsible Business Alliance, the largest industry coalition committed to promoting responsible business practices, including combating human trafficking and slavery in supply chains worldwide.

Verification

TekChoice Electronics utilizes various protocols to detect, evaluate, and control social and environmental risks such as human trafficking and forced labor within our supply chain. As a member of the RBA, TekChoice Electronics actively engages in an annual sensing exercise aimed at pinpointing potential risks across the consumer electronics supply chain.

Auditing Suppliers

The Team at TekChoice Electronics in Grand Rapids, MI dedicates substantial time and resources to evaluate the factories that produce our private-label products. We collaborate with these factories to improve workplace conditions and labor practices.

Prior to becoming a TekChoice Electronics private-label manufacturer, potential suppliers undergo training on our Supplier Code of Conduct and must successfully complete a third-party audit.

Existing private-label suppliers are subject to a comprehensive audit at least every other year. We typically provide advance notice and coordinate schedules for these audits, aiming to foster trust and establish enduring partnerships with our suppliers.

Certification

TekChoice Electronics mandates that suppliers adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct and maintain records demonstrating compliance with laws pertaining to slavery and human trafficking in their respective countries of operation.

These records, encompassing employee age verification, hourly wage documentation, and employment contracts, undergo thorough scrutiny during audits. Any deficiencies in these records are considered a critical violation and must be rectified promptly to sustain a partnership with TekChoice Electronics.

Development of Internal Accountability Measures and Training

In the TekChoice Electronics Code of Business Ethics, we have established guidelines and protocols for our employees to follow. This code encourages all employees to report any suspicions or concerns regarding forced labor.

All employees are required to undergo training on the TekChoice Electronics Code of Business Ethics. Our private-label sourcing team also receives specialized training on our manufacturing partner expectations and our audit program.

Failure to adhere to the standards outlined in the Code of Business Ethics may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.
